To consolidate services across multiple campuses and add a cancer center to the program. The project also required an emergency department as part of a larger building expansion which utilized a lean operation model.

The final design was a 60 treatment room ED with a split flow model which diverts lower acuity and only admits higher ESI patients into the department. This department has same-handed universal rooms with a few specialty spaces including a pediatric psychiatric observation area. The split-flow model allows a more efficient throughput and eliminates waiting times for patients.
