Health Center Lake of Medina: Ambulatory Surgery Center

Challenge:

Summa Health System needed to reach outside of its Akron service area and capture new business in the high growth city of Medina. This area represents a competitive market for Cleveland and Akron Systems. The planning needed to accommodate both current and future growth and needed to be expandable to meet future needs.

Operational Analysis, Services Demand Assessment, Budgeting, Programming and Space Planning, Healthcare Architecture and Interior Design.

Outcome:

The constructed 100,000 sf facility offers comprehensive outpatient services, a physician medical office building, Radiation Oncology & Infusion, Diagnostics and an ambulatory surgery center. The ASC encompasses approximately 15,300 sf and houses three Operating Rooms. The center is designed for multiple specialties for adult and pediatric patients. The focus of Trinity’s design was for efficient workflow, maximum throughput and amenities for staff and patients.
