New Albany Ambulatory Surgery Center

Challenge:

To design a facility that increases throughput and provides full knee and hip replacement procedures with less than 24 hour stays and to create a highly efficient and financially optimized surgery center focused on operational lean practices.

Outcome:

Trinity planned and designed a highly efficient 15,000 sf ambulatory surgery center with four OR’s and 12 pre/post-operative care bays as well as a large open bay PACU. This facility was a pioneer project for 24 hour replacement surgery centers and has been hailed a success by patients and staff. The centers design allows for maximum efficiency and increased throughput while still offering all the amenities expected from a modern ambulatory surgery center.
