Wayne HealthCare
Challenge:Wayne HealthCare, a 92-bed regional, full-service primary care facility in Greenville, Ohio, has served this rural community for nearly 100 years. And as such, has a duty and dedication to providing this community with the best care, close to home. The hospital was looking to embark on an expansion project to help them serve the growing needs of the community. Targeting service-line growth and modernization of outdated facilities, the new addition and remodel of the existing hospital is focused on creating a space for wellness, renewal and healing. Outcome:The Trinity team identified nine potential solutions, ultimately deciding on a new addition that provides a dramatic addition to campus while allowing for future expansion capabilities, minimizes the rerouting of utilities and shields the view of services. Mockup rooms allowed caregivers to test multiple scenarios to optimize the new inpatient layout and enhance the patient experience. The 94,210 SF addition will improve workflow and staff efficiency, give clarity and identity to points of entry and arrival and provide intuitive wayfinding for patients and visitors. The Wayne addition will provide a modern, fresh entrance to the campus. Designed to take advantage of its geographical context, the building will provide ample views to the surrounding environment, making the landscape a year-round extension of the interior environment. The design enhances patient and staff experience through user spaces designed with abundant daylight, views, and patient-inspired functionality. Daylighting and expansive outdoor views will afford staff and visitors a balanced working and healing environment. Simple, neutral tones and finishes will create a sense of classic, timeless hospitality. Services:Trinity provided master planning, facility assessment, healthcare strategic planning, operational planning, financial planning and parking analysis for the Master Plan Refresh phase. For the Hospital Expansion Trinity is leading a design-build team in architecture and interior design. |
